Winter Coats/Jackets Made in USA

In many parts of America, winter coats/jackets are simply a necessity to life.  In the northern parts of America, people often spend most of the year wrapped up in warm clothes of some sort and spend months snuggled in their winter coats/jackets.  It is unfortunate that many of the designer jackets are not made in America.  Finding the winter coat/ jacket of one’s dreams that is made in America can often be a task that leads to frustration and irritation.  The end result is the consumer buying a lower quality winter coat/jacket because it is the only one they can find on the retail shelves.

Many designer winter coats/ jackets are made in foreign countries.  Those designer winter coats/jackets that claim to be made in USA, often have their fabric made overseas or their insulation imported from other countries. Either the fabric is cheaper or easier to obtain from foreign countries or the mother company to the design company is foreign.  However, there are some jackets out there that are truly made in USA.  These winter coats/jackets are often labeled manufactured in the USA. 

Most winter coats/jackets that are truly made in the USA are designed for the average worker.  These jackets are durable and of good quality.  These pieces of outerwear are not intended to impress the fashion designers, but rather to keep the individual warm. Recently, the desire for American made winter coats/jackets has caused a movement to more stylish designs being created here in the USA.  There has been a movement toward better looking, designer winter coats/jackets that are made in the USA.  This movement is good for the economy and the American worker.  It also helps to make good looking, American made winter coats/jackets more available.  While it is still difficult to find American made winter coats/ jackets, it is becoming easier to find these manufactured in the USA pieces of essential wardrobe.
