Finding t-shirts made in the USA can be a very difficult task.  Even those t-shirts that say made in USA are often made in Asia or other countries which feature lower labor costs and lower manufacturing costs.  In addition, most common stores favor t-shirts made in Asia due to the low cost of the t-shirt and the subsequent high profit margin.  T-shirts that state American made do not usually state that the t-shirts were made on American soil.

Most t-shirts are made overseas.  This is because the cost of labor is much less in third world than it is in America.  In addition to the lower cost of labor, it can be cheaper to purchase utilities and supplies in other countries.  However, many Americans want to support American workers and therefore look for t-shirts that are made in America.  It is very unfortunate that t-shirts that are truly made in America are so hard to find.  This is because even if the t-shirt says that it is made in the USA, it does not have to be made in the real United States of America.

There are several t-shirt companies that claim to produce t-shirts that are American Made that simply bend the rules.  These companies have purchased various islands or locations in Asia and other foreign countries and hire men and women to work in the factories located on these islands.  These factories are American owned and therefore can carry the made in USA tags.  This is truly the manipulation of the words manufactured in the USA. If one wants to truly purchase American made t-shirts one should consider visiting the websites of the brand one is interested in.  From there, they should view the locations of the various production factories that the company owns.  This will help to ensure that each of the t-shirts one finds is truly manufactured in the USA and is not simply manipulating the system.
